Terms of Use
Last updated October 22, 2026.
The short version
Chowbo is a free calorie tracker made by MLT Unlimited Solutions Corp ("we", "us"). Use it for yourself, be decent to the people in your groups, and treat the numbers as estimates, not medical advice. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
1. Who can use Chowbo
You must be at least 13 years old to use Chowbo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. By using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to your Apple or Google account secure. Give accurate information in your profile and do not pretend to be someone else. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Account, Delete account.
3. Groups, chats and your content
You own what you post: your profile, photos and messages. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people you share it with, only so the app can work. You are responsible for what you post.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In profiles, groups and chats, do not post or send:
- harassment, bullying, threats or hate based on who someone is
- comments that shame anyone's body, weight or food
- sexual content, or anything involving minors in a sexual way
- violent, graphic or illegal content, or content that encourages self-harm or disordered eating
- spam, scams, or other people's private information
- content you do not have the right to share
You can report a profile or a message in the app. Reporting a message hides that person's messages for you. We review reported content within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules and may suspend or delete the account of the person who posted it, without notice.
4. Estimates, not medical advice
Calorie, macro and nutrient numbers are estimates from photos, labels and the details you enter. They can be wrong. The coach gives general suggestions and can also be wrong. Nothing in Chowbo is medical, nutrition or diet advice, and it does not replace a doctor or dietitian. Talk to a health professional before changing how you eat, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or have a history of disordered eating.
5. Other services
Chowbo can connect to Apple Health, Google Health (for Fitbit) and ChatGPT if you choose. Those services are run by Apple, Google and OpenAI under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. You can disconnect them in Settings or in your Apple, Google or ChatGPT account. How Chowbo uses data from them is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. App Store
If you got Chowbo from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, the EULA wins for the App Store version. Apple is not responsible for the app or for support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.
7. Using the app fairly
Do not misuse Chowbo: no reverse engineering, scraping, overloading our servers, getting around limits or security, or using the app to break the law. Chowbo is free and for personal use.
8. Changes and availability
We may change, pause or stop parts of the app at any time. We may update these terms; if a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or on this page before it applies. Using Chowbo after a change means you accept the new terms.
9. No warranty and limits on liability
Chowbo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, MLT Unlimited Solutions Corp is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app, which is zero. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes go to the courts of the Philippines, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
